OpenExpo kicks off, a reference event in the Open Source world

Today opened the virtual event about technological innovation, digital transformation, and Open Source, bringing together more than 2,500 professionals from the IT sector for four days. Chema Alonso, Chief Data Officer (CDO) of Telefónica, has been in charge of kicking off this event that was born eight years ago to accompany experts and organizations in their digital transformation processes. Through lectures, workshops, demos, round tables, interviews ... attendees will obtain interesting keys to maximize resources, reduce costs and enhance customer relationships.

The leading technology trends that can help improve business processes and society will be analyzed by some of the most influential figures and the most innovative and disruptive companies.

After a morning in which topics such as security in 5G, the immediate future of Artificial Intelligence or business models based on Digital Assets have been discussed; this afternoon the activities will be focused on digital democracy with Gaia – X, Government and Free Software and, among other things, there will be a demo on the CDC as a key to Real-Time.

The schedule for the next three days is full of exciting actions focused on EdTech, Open Source, GovTech, cybersecurity, blockchain, Big Data, cloud … and many other technologies that are of great help for business modernization.

This edition presents the dissemination of technological innovation and business content in different formats to make the presentations more enjoyable and fun. Traditional formats will be combined with other newer ones, such as games, contests, or gatherings.
