New tech guide: Linux vApp with UDS Enterprise

by | Oct 4, 2019

One of the best feedbacks we get from our user community is about the extensive and comprehensive documentation about UDS Enterprise. We think it's very important to provide quality information about our product, as well as documenting the most common configurations and processes to facilitate the work of IT professionals responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining VDI and vApp platforms with our connection broker.

Following this line and responding to the requests received, we have recently published a new manual which includes all the aspects one should take into account and all the essential configurations to manage and deploy Linux virtual applications with UDS Enterprise.

This document details the features of all the necessary elements to perform a Linux vApp deployment with our broker: virtualization platform, Linux OS image, X2Go protocol, UDS Actor, Internet connection and DHCP server.

In addition, it includes all the steps that must be taken to configure a Linux template and the X2Go protocol connection client. It also explains how to publish virtual applications and everything there is to know to access them.

You can consult and download the manual from this link.

We’d like to remind that, in addition to Linux virtual applications, with UDS Enterprise you can manage and deploy Windows and Linux virtual desktops and virtual applications hosted on Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2012.

All our documentation about VDI and UDS Enterprise, including white papers, technical documentation, quick configuration guides and manuals is available at the Documentation section of our website.
