The joint VDI solution UDS Enterprise + Nutanix was the central theme of one of the presentations of the XXIX RedIRIS Technical Conference, held from May 8 to 10 at the University of Salamanca.

Ignacio Manterola, Sales Director of Lanmedia Communications, was in charge of exhibiting the the Case Study of the Public University of Navarra (UPNA), where the UDS Enterprise + Nutanix all-in-one solution serves 850 concurrent users of virtual desktops. Thanks to this solution, in the near future, they plan to implement the BYOD trend for its 8,000 students.

Manterola explained that one of the reasons why the UPNA IT team decided to trust UDS Enterprise was the choice of this connection broker as thebest On-Premise VDI solution for the Desktop Virtualization Project powered by CRUE-TIC and RedIRIS.

As explained in the video that can be seen below, UDS Enterprise and Nutanix is a simple and profitable high-performance hyper-converged VDI solution, perfect for solving the challenges that this university faced.

In addition to offering this presentation, the UDS Enterprise Certified Partner Lanmedia Communications was one of the sponsors of the event. The exhibition area featured a booth where demonstrations of desktop and application virtualization were made using UDS Enterprise connection broker, Nutanix Acropolis AHV hypervisor, and Nutanix hyper-convergence hardware.

Attendees were able to see how UDS Enterprise deploys one virtual desktop every three seconds on Nutanix Acropolis. In addition, they proved that it is a resilient and secure high-performance solution, with a great capacity for scalability, and that allows it to grow easily and in an unlimited way. In short, it is a technically and economically viable VDI solution.
