Ubuntu 18.04 LTS is now available for Windows 10

The latest version of the Canonical OS, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS is now available for Windows 10 in the Microsoft Store. The execution of this Linux operating system as an application in Windows 10 offers the possibility of running a complete Ubuntu terminal from Windows. In this way, tools such as git, ssh, apt and bash can be easily used from said OS.

Users who want to use Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on their Windows 10 devices, only have to access the application store Microsoft Store and type in the search engine “Ubuntu 18.04” and click on “Get”.

Once this is done, the Linux distro will be available in the Windows start menu. It should be remembered that in order to use Windows Subsystem for Linux for the first time, it is necessary to activate the function before performing the download and installation.

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS for Windows 10 is supported by Canonical in collaboration with Microsoft.
