KDE Plasma 5.12 LTS released: more stable, fast and simple

KDE Plasma 5.12 LTS is now available for download. The new release of this popular Linux desktop environment brings more stability, speed, simplicity and, as the name suggests, long-term support.

One of the most important new features of this version is the Wayland support enhancement, which will also receive maintenance updates for the duration of this version. The main changes include the possibility of setting the output resolution and activating and deactivating outputs through KScreen, screen rotation, automatic calibration of the touch screen, the option of full screen for the windows, the automatic selection of the composer according to the platform being used and the new Night Color function.

Among other improvements, KDE Plasma 5.12 LTS has increased desktop booting speed, which consumes less CPU and memory than before.

In addition, the software manager Discover has greater stability and changes in its interface, along with improvements in Flatpak and Snap formats support.
