200 experts participate in RedIRIS Working Groups

About 200 IT experts are exchanging information and experiences in this edition of the RedIRIS Working Groups which is taking place at Córdoba University from last Thursday 31st May until today. IT and network experts and managers from the different universities and research centres in the RedIRIS network are participating in this meeting.

In the plenary sessions, that took place during the two first days of the event, experts talked about the evolution of RedIRIS strategy and its portfolio of services and the identification, standarization and evolution of ICT services for the scientific community. This latter session was coordinated by CRUE-TIC and brought together speakers from different universities, like Enrique de la Hoz fom Alcalá de Henares University, Adelaida Cabrero from Jaén University, Luis Blanco from University Pontificia de Comillas, Miguel Rueda from Sevilla University and Fernando Gietz from País Vasco University.

The program included the working group on projects and experiences related to ICTs supporting learning DOCENCIA-NET, that disclosed, among others, the teaching innovation projects led by Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M), the virtlabs project driven by Consorci de serveis universitaris de Catalunya (CSUC) and the OpenGnsys project led by Sevilla University.

For the first time, the event has included the II Forum on RedIRIS Campus Networks, the practical course on release of SIR2 attributes in the reference IdP and today is taking place the III Forum on RedIRIS Identity.
