What’s new in UDS Enterprise 1.7

by | Jun 23, 2015

As we told you a few weeks ago, UDS Enterprise 1.7 is already available.

The development team has made an important effort in order to introduce, apart from the improvements we mentioned in previous posts, as full support for Citrix XenServer, a new actor and new virtual desktops based on Fedora and CentOS, other outstanding new features.

Now UDS Enterprise is more agressive creating and removing services thanks to the Big Cache Updater redesign; the “Stuck” services management has been improved, now services can be detected and all options can be managed and images or icons can be uploaded and assigned to any service.

Moreover, this new version incorporates a new Linux Random Password OS Manager and supports “OR” operations on meta groups. In this way, we can assign a meta group to a big number of groups, and then use this to assign Service Pools.

Regarding databases, there has been a database model refactoring, improving stability and maintenance. DB backend for several transports has been updated and now it also supports sqlite and InnoDB as backend among others.

It is also worth emphasizing that UDS Enterprise 1.7 can alert when end of support is near and that support on administration interface to remove user preferences access has been added.

These are just some of the improvements introduced by our team in this new version of our VDI connection broker for Windows and Linux. Stay tuned to our blog and our social networks to learn all new features added to UDS Enterprise.
